QuickBooks Online Level 1(CA)

This course introduces basic accounting tasks using the Canadian version of QuickBooks Online, and is mapped to Certiport’s certification exam objectives, a globally accepted, standard-based credential for validating skills.

Learners will begin with an introduction to QuickBooks and a review of accounting cycles. Several areas of accounting such as working with company files, entering transactions, making deposits, generating reports, dealing with cash and credit transactions, working with general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciling accounts will be covered.

Some review of accounting fundamentals will also be discussed as learners relate them to the transactions at hand. Upon successfully completing the course, learners will be prepared to take the exam.

This course is targeted towards learners with a basic knowledge of accounting terms such as:

• Assets, Liabilities, and Equity
• Balance Sheet
• Trial Balance
• Income Statement
• Debits and Credits
• Ledger Accounts

Note: Learners at accredited academic institutions are eligible to receive free student software. An access code to activate the free version of QuickBooks Online will be sent to the learner from the Educator.
